6 Tips To Eliminate Bugs Naturally

[Eliminate Bugs (3).jpg

The best way to avoid pesky bugs is to take preventative measures. Use these natural pest control tips to help protect your home against mosquitoes, chiggers, ticks, fleas, flies, ants, cockroaches and more.

Maintain Your Yard

Insects love overgrown yards. Mowing regularly and removing debris from your yard is one of the first and most important steps you should take when bug-proofing your home. Treating your lawn with a naturally sourced pesticide and natural bug-repelling mulches will also help deter insect populations.

Wipe Floors & Counters

Insects need food and water just like we do. Leftover crumbs and spills are an open invitation for bugs. Storing food in airtight containers and keeping your floors and counters clean is key. Vacuuming regularly is also important. For active bug problems, sprinkle home-safe granules or use a non-toxic all-purpose bug spray to treat affected areas.

Remove Standing Water

Mosquitoes rely on water for both feeding and breeding. So, it's important to remove standing water from trash cans, pots, furniture, buckets, etc. If you cannot remove the standing water, add a small amount of PCO Choice to the water to prevent mosquitoes from breeding there. Regularly removing debris and leaves from gutters and drains is also important as insects will often hide in these areas, too.

Seal Your Doors & Windows

It’s good practice to annually check your doors and windows for cracks and other openings. Bugs and other pests use these to gain access to your home. A simple weatherstrip or door sealing kit can often do the trick if you find such openings. Also, spraying doors and window seals with a non-toxic insect repellent will deter bugs from entering your home.

Clean Trash Cans

For a number of reasons, including food and shelter, bugs love trash cans. Regularly wiping down trash cans and spraying them with a naturally sourced bug repellent will help keep bugs out of your home.

Treat Your Pets

One of the most common ways feas and ticks enter your home is via your pets. Spraying them with naturallly sourced flea & tick spray before going outside is an easy way to keep fleas and ticks out of your home and yard. Both you and your pet should avoid heavily wooded areas during peak tick season (early spring to late fall), and make sure to always do a tick inspection after any outdoor activities.

Always outstanding. New products in response to demand is great. I have been a customer for over 10 years.
I don't even get "explorer" ants anymore.
